Happy Weekend!

Happy Weekend All!

I hope you have had a good week and have a fun and/or relaxing weekend ahead of you. I am definitely happy to have this weekend come to an end. It was one of those weeks where it wasn’t particularly difficult, but it just dragged.

On a good note I stuck with my goal to work out at least 3 times a week. I did a workout DVD in our home on Monday (Taylor even joined me!), on Tuesday I went to a combat cardio class at our new gym and on Thursday I actually ran…. #wut

The other most exciting thing that happened this week was the NSALE (duh) I am obsessed with Nordstrom and if I had my way I would buy everything from there! The best thing about this sale is that it is such a good time to stock up on basics and gifts! Taylor’s birthday is in October and I was able to get him a gift via this sale that would’ve cost a lot more if I had waited. Plus with Nordstrom’s return policy I never worry about buying too soon and the item not working out. I was also able to pick up my sister’s Christmas gifts plus a few things for myself!

Friday morning I was out of the office getting some fun dental work done. The best part about it was that Taylor and I met up for lunch afterward! I have to go back in a few weeks to finish up, but at least after that I will be done for a while.

Well we have a busy weekend ahead with friends coming to visit our apartment for the first time eeek!

Love,

Kelsey

Hello Blog World

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

This is exciting, my first post. First I guess I can introduce myself to y'all! My name is Kelsey and my husband and I live and work in the Dallas area.

I work in finance and he is a 4th year Medical Student. We have two beautiful dogs and think they're the best! We both LOVE family. We hope to grow one of our own soon, but not too soon. My family lives in the hill country of central Texas and my husband's family is local in the mid-cities of DFW. I used to be a 2nd grade teacher and that is what I went to school for, but when we moved to Dallas for my husband's schooling I changed career paths and now work in finance as a stock broker of sorts.

My husband is about to go into his 4th year of school so in about 10 months we will be starting on a brand new adventure mostly likely in another state while he completes his residency!

I love shopping, which is not a good thing, and I love to find good deals and stuff that works for me! I hope to share my love of fashion and beauty with you. (please note: this is NOT a fashion blog by any means)

I try to eat healthy and workout, because I feel so much better in all aspects of my life. I also love to cook because I feel like it is one of the few times in life I truly get to be creative. Therefore I rarely use a recipe.

Okay, well now back to the reality of Monday after a 3 day weekend!

Love, Kelsey
